Lab Passwords

We store our passwords for everything from mTurk to Dropbox on LastPass. You can get LastPass as a browser extension, and it will handily fill in all your passwords for you! Once you add the browser extension, follow these steps:

  1. Ask the lab manager or another lab member for the LastPass master password, and log in

  2. Click the three vertical dots in the top righthand corner of your Chrome browser, and go to ‘Settings’

  3. Click the three vertical bars in the top lefthand corner of your browser, and go to ‘Extensions’

  4. Find LastPass, and click ‘Details’

  5. Click ‘Extension options’

  6. Go to ‘Notifications’

  7. UNCHECK the boxes for ‘Show Save Site Notification Bar’ and ‘Show Change Password Notification Bar’

  8. Click ‘Save’

IMPORTANT: Be careful not to save your personal login info for any sites on the lab LastPass.
